Fun fact: The song lyrics by Thøger Larsen (b. 1875) are written in, and a description of, the landscape and the summer nights in the exact area I grew up in. And yes, the choice of season for our release date Oct 13th is … stretching it for a summer song, I know. However, the entire album is as much about the DREAM of those songs, the idea of the songs, the memory of the songs. And about opening up the well known versions, to access existential dimensions to the material, beyond or beneath the regular approaches.
