Granular Alchemy 4 star review in British Jazzwise magazine

Granular Alchemy 4 star review in British Jazzwise magazine, May 2013 issue: Marcus O’Dair writes a.o.: “Danish pianist Anderskov has been remarkably prolific over the past decade or so, winning multiple awards and being widely hailed as a dazzling new force in European jazz. (…) for all its breadth, the record remains satisfyingly coherent (…) Anderskov himself proves on track after track that virtuosity and vision don´t have to be mutually exclusive”.

Under the headline: Anderskov expands sonic landscape of Danish Jazz, Down Beat Journalist Peter Margasak writes a.o.:

Few musicians embody the exciting growth of the Danish improvised music scene over the last couple of decades better than pianist Jacob Anderskov, a true musical polymath whose work as a composer, bandleader and label owner has vibrantly expanded the sonic landscape of Copenhagen.

Margasak is also coining TWO different 2012 Anderskov albums “superb” (“Granular Alchemy” with Agnostic Revelations, and “Phone Book” by Toxværd/Anderskov – both out on ILK, and available at iTunes etc.).

(A few corrections that didn’t make it in print: I am not a label “owner”, just a member of the ILK board, Phone Book is initiated by Laura, not by me, and, ILK was co-founded by several more people than the 4 mentioned in the article, albeit the very first steps were taken by us 4.)
